Plug in. Learn. Repeat.

  1. 01

    Plug in your controller

Connect over USB and open No Sync Club in Chrome. Press any pad and you're in. There's no DJ software to install.

  2. 02

    Pick a lesson

One skill per lesson, a few minutes each, with a clear goal: hold the blend for 8 bars, or land the drop on the one.

  3. 03

    Hear how you did

We read what your hands do on the decks and tell you, bar by bar, if you're early, late or locked in. Then you go again.

First blend to full set

Six stages, in the order DJs actually learn them. Skip ahead if you've got the basics.

  1. 01BeatmatchingHear two kicks drift apart, then pull them back with the pitch fader and jog wheel.
  2. 02EQSwap basslines without the mud. Lows, mids and highs, and when to leave them alone.
  3. 03PhrasingCount in 8, 16 and 32 bars so your mix lands where the track wants it to.
  4. 04CueingSet hot cues, drop in on the one, and stop hunting for the start of the track.
  5. 05TransitionsLong blends, quick cuts, echo outs. Pick the right exit for the moment.
  6. 06Your first setPut it all together: a plan, a crate of tracks and an hour on the decks.

Both are tools

The name's a nod, not a rule. We teach you to beatmatch by ear so you know what the sync button is doing, then you use it whenever it helps. Your set, your call.

By ear
  • Spot two kicks pulling apart before you see it on screen.
  • Ride the pitch fader and jog wheel with confidence.
  • Mix on any gear in any booth.
With sync
  • Lock tempo in one press and put your focus on EQ and phrasing.
  • Know what sync can and can't fix, like a badly set beatgrid.
  • Switch between the two mid-mix without a wobble.

What's in a lesson

Real decks in a tab

Your browser reads every jog wheel, fader and pad as you move it. What you practise here is what you'll play out.

Know when you drift

You get a readout on every bar: on beat, or exactly how far off.
ON BEAT−12 MS · EARLY+30 MS · LATE

Practice tracks included

Every lesson comes with tracks built for it, so you can start before you've built a record collection.

Watch it tighten

Scores, streaks and personal bests on one page, so you can see your blends getting cleaner week by week.

Before you plug in

Which controllers work?

Any MIDI controller Chrome can see over USB. The Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 is mapped out of the box. For anything else, move each control once when we ask and you're set.

Which browsers?

Chrome or Edge on a laptop or desktop. Safari can't talk to MIDI controllers yet, so it can't see your decks.

Do I need DJ software or tracks?

No. Everything runs in the tab, and every lesson comes with its own practice tracks.

Is it fine to use sync?

Yes. Sync is a tool, same as your ears. We teach both, so whichever you reach for, you know what it's doing.

I've never touched a controller

Perfect. Stage 01 starts with what each knob does and builds from there. Nobody here expects you to know the lingo.

Plug in. Press play.

Make an account, connect your controller and you'll be in your first lesson in about a minute.
